Abstract

Land classification provides an effective framework for the organisation of information at the operational (compartment), managerial (plantation) and strategic (company) levels. Such a framework can facilitate task allocation and cost control, assist in the identification of investment opportunities, aid resource allocation and help with the prediction of risks and hazards.
