Abstract

Harvesting managers very often face a lack of adequate information, data and tools to formulate effective operating plans or to change those plans in response to unforeseen problems or opportunities. A data bank could contribute to improve this situation. A possible structure is shown and the application demonstrated with a practical example. The benefits and problems to be solved for the successful implementation are discussed.
