VARIATION THROUGHOUT THE YEAR IN THE MOISTURE CONTENT OF WOOD MANUFACTURED INTO FURNITURE AND JOINERY

Abstract

This paper deals with the fluctuations in the equilibrium moisture content that may occur in wood with normal furniture finishes during a period of one year in Pretoria. The variation in the E.M.C. for the wood of seven species is given as well as the range for winter and summer periods separately.
