NOTES ON THE GEOMETRIC TORTOISE, PSAMMOBATES GEOMETRICUS, IN CAPTIVITY

Abstract

Details are given of captive care of two geometric tortoise, kept in captivity for over 14 years. Clutches of 2–4 eggs were laid in May, August, September, October, and December. The eggs chamber was ‘boot-shaped’ and 87 mm deep. No hatching success was achieved.
