A pellet count of blue duiker and bushbuck in the Knysna forests

Abstract

Some results of a pellet count undertaken during 1970 in the Knysna indigenous forests are presented. There are indications that the method of counting faecal pellets could be developed as a practical and economical instrument for game census in dense forests.
