VALUATION OF PLANTATIONS ONCE AGAIN

Abstract

A short recapitulation is given of the method of valuation suggested by Mr. O'Connor in his article “Valuation of Plantations” in the May issue of this Journal. By this method the only cost which is allowed to influence the value of an immature plantation is the standard cost of establishment. In the present article it is suggested that this method should be modified so that soil rent and annual expenditures are also taken into consideration.
