Abstract

Background: Significant advancements have been made in human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) diagnosis and treatment, yet progress in quality care remains limited. To address this gap, 88 quality indicators for clinical HIV/AIDS care were evaluated. This study aimed to assess and compare adherence to these quality indicators and to analyse their impact on treatment outcomes in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and South Africa (SA).
