Abstract

A new species of Breviceps is described from the south‐central highlands of Tanzania. It is similar in colour pattern to Breviceps mossambicus from Tanzania, but differs in advertisement call, and details of morphology. It is genetically distinct from Breviceps poweri, B. mossambicus and B. adspersus.
