Abstract

Good lizard husbandry is dependent upon providing a suitable microclimate for each species. This can be achieved by designing terraria with a variety of features that allow the lizard to select its own preferred habitat. Successful breeding depends on suitable space and food. The use of calcium-enriched ‘super’ mealworms is recommended. A brief introduction is given to Agama International Institute, a private lizard captive-breeding facility in Alabama, U.S.A.
