Abstract

This paper discusses certain possible classifications for the so-called adjectives and relatives in Zulu with a view to more effective teaching of the language. The conclusion is that morphological criteria are the most useful for the first and second years, and that when syntax is being discussed it is easy enough to explain the difference in classification.
