Abstract
Equation 1 (Table 7, Part II), i.e. using the pooled results for Pinus pinaster and Pinus radiata can be employed for the design of a moisture meter for the two species that is calibrated for 20°C. In the present work moisture meter corrections∫dudT are presented for the proposed new meter. When measurements are done at higher temperatures than 20°C (the calibration temperature), the true moisture content of the sample can be obtained by using one of the following: Table 6, Figure 4 or Eqs. 1–9 (Table 7) in Part III. The values of∫du
dT can be obtained by using either E or another method described here. Finally a set of calibration equations for a commercial temperature-compensated moisture meter (Gann HT-75) are given in the range 20–100°C for the two species.
