Abstract

Pruning trials, up to a height of 35 ft. and using long-handled or pole pruning saws, were carried out on a number of species. The main objective was to find out whether the cost of pruning from 22 ft. to 35 ft. could be decreased by this technique in comparison with that of more traditional methods of high-pruning.
